Japanese national data for antimicrobial resistance
Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare of Japan organizes national surveillance of antimicrobial resistance, JANIS. Although JANIS produces reports of robust nationwide antimicrobial resistance data that are based on approximately 2,000 hospitals, the reports have been disseminated by PDF files. In response to requests for spreadsheet, Antimicrobial Resistance Research Center of National Institute of Infectious Diseases prepared an excel file containing antimicrobial resistance data sorted by year, hospital scale, specimen, pathogen, sex, origin and age group. The data format is made in accordance with WHO Global Antimicrobial Resistance Surveillance System (GLASS). In addition, an user-friendly analytical tool is bundled in the file so that users can analyze the Japanese national data easily by any arbitrary combination of the items.
